The Rolling Stones is a very successful rock band that formed in 1962. The Rolling Stones is an English rock band that was the inspiration for the new rock bands that appeared. Its members were Mick Jagger, Ian Stewart, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. The Rolling Stones mixed rock and roll, blue cover songs and R&B music. The band’s songs were very successful and due to the mixture of musical genres they played, the success immediately came. After few of The Rolling Stones members retired, they were replaced by Ronnie Wood and Chuck Leavell.
In the 60′s, The Rolling Stones became famous in the America, too and their success increased and soon they were popular in all the world. The Rolling Stones released 22 albums in the United Kingdom and 24 in the United States. Even since 1989, The Rolling Stones was included in The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Several times, the band was consider number 4 and number 10 from the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. The Rolling Stones first single was released in 1963 and was a cover of Chuck Berry. The next singles were “I Wanna Be Your Man” and “Not Fade Away”. The Rolling Stones had their first US tour in 1964, but was not successful. The fifth UK hit was the cover “Little Red Rooster” and was the Rolling Stones second number 1 UK hit.
The Rolling Stones first international hit was “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”, a song that is popular even today and will always represent an important part of the music history. Later, the band released several LP’s and also other albums and moved to France. The rock band had problems with drugs, so they could not be in the same counties where they had their tours. In 2005, The Rolling Stones began a tour that proved to be very successful. In the same year, the band released the album called “A Bigger Band”. It is amazing how The Rolling Stones influenced other bands and their success was great during the years, even if they had ups and downs, but still the band is considered as one of the most important from rock music history. Some of their songs are famous and very appreciated even today, after so many years since they were released.
