The Rolling Stones are an English music band. The the Rolling Stones was formed in London, England in April 1962. The members of the Rolling Stones were Mick Jagger, who is still the lead vocalist and plays the harmonica, Brian Jones, who played the guitar and the harmonica, Ian Stewart, who played the piano and Keith Richards, who is still a vocalist and also plays the guitar. In the first years, the band also counted on a bassist, called Bill Wyman and on a drummer, Charlie Watts. In the early years of the the Rolling Stones, Jones was considered the leader of the band, but after Jagger and Richards made a team to write songs together, they became the leaders. Later, Jones could not tour because of legal and medical problems and he eventually left the band. A few weeks after this happened, he died drowning in his own pool.

The early history of the Rolling Stones begins with the friendship of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, who in the early 1950s were classmates in Dartford, Kent. Their families moved apart, but later, while in college, the two meet in the Dartford train station and rekindled their relationship. They both had a high interest in music and decided to form a band together with Dick Taylor. At the Ealing Jazz Club, Jagger and Richards found Brian Jones, who was singing with Blues Incorporated. Other band member of the the Rolling Stones were also ex members of Blues Incorporated, Ian Stewart and Charlie Watts.

The the Rolling Stones began to sing in 1962 with a line-up made of Jagger, Richards, Jones, Stewart, Taylor and Chapman. The one that found the name of the band was Brian Jones. During a phone call with Jazz News, he was asked about the name of the band. As they did not have a name yet, he had to come up with something right on the spot. The first thing he saw was a Muddy Waters LP, on the floor. One of the tracks was named Rollin’ Stone, so he named the band the Rolling Stones. In present, although a few decades have passed, the the Rolling Stones are still successful.

The Rolling Stones is probably the most famous British rock band of all times and even now, they still continue to perform and give their fans unforgettable concerts. The Rolling Stones began their career in 1962 in London. The band was put together by eccentric singer Mick Jagger. Lead singer Mick Jagger and guitar player Keith Richards started to play together when they were in high school. Later on, the other members of the band have been added and their ascent on the musical ladder began. The Rolling Stones quickly gained fame, as they started to play in Great Britain, as well as on the territory of North America.

The Rolling Stones are an eclectic band. They do not resume themselves to playing just classic rock songs. As many critics stated, their music has their roots in rhythm and blues, reggae, country, folk and soul music. As the years passed by, the music of the Rolling Stones has also been influenced by a more pop sound. The first single of the Rolling Stones, Tell Me You’re Coming Back, has been described as a pop rock ballad.

Probably the best known single of the Rolling Stones, that has been remixed and sung by so many artists is I Can’t Get No Satisfaction. It was recorded in 1965 and it has been a hit, since the first time it was aired on the radio and launched on TV. The song was written by guitar player Keith Richards and it was envisioned as a scratch track to guide a horn section. The song was so successful that it even took aback Mick Jagger. Satisfaction spent four weeks on the top position of the musical charts. Satisfaction established the Rolling Stones as a worldwide premier act. The singles and the albums kept on coming and the reward was past everything they had ever envisioned. The Rolling Stones even released a DVD of their live performance in Texas and it was one of the best selling DVDs. The Rolling Stones won numerous Grammy awards, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Rolling Stones continue to draw more fans and their music still appeals to a lot of people.

When it comes to music, there are many names in the industry who are considered legends. One of them is definitely The Rolling Stones, one of the most iconic bands of all times. When you talk about rock music, the name The Rolling Stones is bound to come up at some point. Who does not know the famous members of The Rolling Stones – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts? Even if the band underwent several changes throughout the years, The Rolling Stones is a name that everybody recognizes. Let’s go back, though, to 1960, the year when it all began.

Rumor has it that in October 1960, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who used to be classmates, met in the train station of their home town, Dartford. Dick Taylor joined them, and together they formed the group Little Boy Blue & The Blues Boys. Two years later, in 1962, they formed The Rolling Stones. They named the band after a song performed by Muddy Waters, called Rollina Stones Blues. The Rolling Stones had their first concert the same year, on July 12.

The members of The Rolling Stones, at that time, were Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ian Stewart, Brian Jones, Dick Taylor and Tony Chapman. The concert was held at the Marquee club from London, and it was a real success, considering that the audience loved them. So this is how it all began, and the rest is legend. As a result, it did not take long until The Rolling Stones were signed. One year later, in 1963, the record label Decca and its artistic director, Dick Row, decided to record their first single. Considering that Row was the one who rejected the Beatles, everyone knew that The Rolling Stones will make history.

And so they did. With more than 100 singles, 20 studio albums and numerous live and compilation albums, The Rolling Stones became one of the most successful bands of all times. The number of tours is not to be ignored either, and it proves that everyone wanted to see The Rolling Stones live in concert. As a result, The Rolling Stones are still active nowadays, almost 50 years after the group formation. Hopefully, The Rolling Stones will keep on delighting us for many more years to come.

The Rolling Stones is a very successful rock band that formed in 1962. The Rolling Stones is an English rock band that was the inspiration for the new rock bands that appeared. Its members were Mick Jagger, Ian Stewart, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. The Rolling Stones mixed rock and roll, blue cover songs and R&B music. The band’s songs were very successful and due to the mixture of musical genres they played, the success immediately came. After few of The Rolling Stones members retired, they were replaced by Ronnie Wood and Chuck Leavell.

In the 60′s, The Rolling Stones became famous in the America, too and their success increased and soon they were popular in all the world. The Rolling Stones released 22 albums in the United Kingdom and 24 in the United States. Even since 1989, The Rolling Stones was included in The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Several times, the band was consider number 4 and number 10 from the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. The Rolling Stones first single was released in 1963 and was a cover of Chuck Berry. The next singles were “I Wanna Be Your Man” and “Not Fade Away”. The Rolling Stones had their first US tour in 1964, but was not successful.
The Rolling Stones first international hit was “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”, a song that is popular even today and will always represent an important part of the music history. Later, the band released several LP’s and also other albums and moved to France. The rock band had problems with drugs, so they could not be in the same counties where they had their tours. In 2005, The Rolling Stones began a tour that proved to be very successful. In the same year, the band released the album called “A Bigger Band”. It is amazing how The Rolling Stones influenced other bands and their success was great during the years, even if they had ups and downs, but still the band is considered as one of the most important from rock music history. Some of their songs are famous and very appreciated even today, after so many years since they were released.
