Over the course of their long lasting musical career so far, The Rolling Stones have released a large number of albums. An accurate count will show that The Rolling Stones have produced for the public 29 studio albums, 12 live albums, 3 EPs, 30 compilations, 16 video albums and even more music videos and singles. The Rolling Stones came out with the first recorded material in 1964 and they have not stopped since. The Rolling Stones are one of the bands that have changed the face of music, especially in terms of the rock genre, but not only, being influential and inspirational to numerous other solo artists and groups.
In 1964, The Rolling Stones had three materials released: The Rolling Stones (UK), England’s Newest Hit Makers (US) and 12 x 5. The last two went gold, in terms of figure sales, in the US. The following year, they came out with five new studio albums, out of which two went gold (The Rolling Stones Now! and December’s Children) and one got platinum (Out of Our Heads). Also platinum sales were given on the US release of the Aftermath, in 1966. In 1967, they released two more gold albums: Between the Buttons and Their Satanic Majesties Request. Numerous albums came out from the music produced by this band and as the years went by, the number of fans that bought them grew so high, that at some point the recorded materials started to receive Multi-Platinum recognitions. Some of the most famous multi-platinum albums of The Rolling Stones were: Let It Bleed (1969), Sticky Fingers (1971), Goats Head Soup (1973), Emotional Rescue (1980), Tattoo You (1981), Steel Wheels (1989), Voodoo Lounge (1994).The Rolling Stones have made a massive impact on the development of the music industry, so far, raising the bar for all rock bands around the world.
